A 30-year-old man has been hospitalised with serious injuries after being struck by a car in the aftermath of a road traffic collision.

The man is understood to have been hit by a silver Skoda Octavia following a crash between the car and a white Ford Transit van. Emergency services were called to the scene on East Bank Road, Arbourthorne, at 5.12pm yesterday (Wednesday, December 28) following reports of a collision.

East Bank Road was closed as emergency crews responded, allowing the man to be taken to hospital and the vehicles involved to be recovered.
