Stagecoach Supertram has been unable to run part of the track along West Street this week – initially after a tram broke down on Monday. Now they have confirmed they are now having to fix an area of track.

A spokesman for Stagecoach said today: “Tram services are expected to remain suspended between Shalesmoor and Cathedral until at least Thursday February 9 to allow for track repairs in the West Street area.”

"A tram service will continue to operate between Middlewood and University between the hours of 5.30am and 11.30pm. Please note that trams towards Middlewood will depart University from the city-bound platform.”
