Tuscan date with Jane for Neil
CITY singer and acoustic guitarist Neil McSweeney will be sure of some summer sun this year. He's got a musical date next week in Italy.
Neil is one of a trio of performers booked at the summer festival run by former Stannington girl Jane Bryson at her Tuscan ristorante, Antico Caffe Del Sonno in Bagna de Lucca.
She and her partner Ilario Cassai are great friends with Andy Davies, producer of the Jonathan Ross Show on Radio 2, who looks after the musical side of the festival.

Hide AdNeil’s name came up after one of his records, chosen by Davies, was played by Ross.
It will be a return to Tuscany for Neil.
“Me and my partner Beth used to live in Empoli which is just around the corner,” he says.
They’ll be making a family holiday out of it, with their new baby son in tow.
