WATCH: Stunning footage of Sheffield city centre at night from the air

The stunning footage of the city centre skyline at night shows a string of instantly recognisable buildings including the railway station, Sheffield Hallam University and the area around Park Hill as well as thousands of twinkling street lights and buildings stretching off into the distance towards Rotherham.

The five minute film, uploaded to video sharing website YouTube by user Edgaras Oggy Purauskas, shows cars and trains whizzing through the city and gives viewers a unique view of the city by night.

He wrote on the site: "So here is another video of mine, one evening I decided to capture amazing Sheffield city's skyline. Looks pretty good to me!

"Just to be clear. I kept drone at gps mode, and kept safe distance from people, building and vehicles."
