A number of trees have reportedly been brought down across Sheffield this morning following strong gales overnight.

The Steel City was battered by winds reaching 38mph in the early hours of this morning (March 13). Photos shared with The Star show how a number of trees have reportedly been brought down across the area, including a large one close to the river in Millhouses Park, which has toppled and blocked a footpath.

Forecasters say the city will see stiff gusts today reaching up to 27mph.
