WIN: Yorkshire food hamper ahead of Meadowhall's artisan food market
The first artisan Yorkshire food fair is set to come to Meadowhall next week - and to celebrate the shopping centre is giving away a hamper prize to our readers.
Shoppers who have a real taste for quality cuisine will be able to snap up tasty treats from regional producers between Thursday March 24 and Saturday March 26.
With everything from chutneys to ciders, wagyu beef, smoked salmon and venison, to mouth-watering cakes and hand-made chocolate Easter eggs, the festival around the Park Lane area of the centre will have something to tempt everybody’s taste-buds.
The event will also feature a pop up cookery theatre, hosting demonstrations on the hour, every hour, by talented local and regional chefs including the renowned Stephanie Moon, who was born and raised in the north.
Meadowhall centre director, Darren Pearce, said: “For more than 25 years, Meadowhall has been part of the Sheffield community and we’re always keen to get involved with projects that champion local and regional producers.
“The bespoke stalls will allow shoppers to see and sample first-hand the very best Yorkshire has to offer, whilst the chefs in our pop up cookery theatre will be demonstrating how to make your own culinary creations when you’re back home.”
Meadowhall is offering readers the chance to win a food hamper, which will including two bottles of Galtres cider from Orchards of Husthwaite, La Sierra Cloud Forest Roast & Ground Coffee, Swaledale Blue Cheese from Yorkshire’s Finest Foods, Swaledale Mature Cheddar Cheese from Yorkshire’ Finest Foods and one set of three Puckett’s Pickles Chutneys.
