Woman hurt in bus crash
A WOMAN bus passenger was taken to hospital with whiplash after a head-on collision between a single decker and a Ford Fiesta in Aughton.
The First bus and the car were travelling in opposite directions along Main Street, outside The Black Bull pub, when the collision occurred.
Firefighters called to the scene to make the vehicles safe said the woman, who was taken to hospital, was the only injured passenger on board the bus.
The man driving the car, which was written off, was suffering from chest pains and shock but opted not to go to hospital. The crash happened at around 10.30pm on Thursday.
