Women pound the streets

THOUSANDS of feet will pound through Rotherham tomorrow to help raise millions of pounds for a cancer charity.

Rotherham’s Race for Life is one of scores being held across the UK this summer by Cancer Research UK.

The women-only event is being held at Herringthorpe Stadium.

Organisers are reminding entrants to take along sun cream and bottles of water. They are also reminding anyone going by car that there is no parking at the stadium.

Entrants and spectators are being urged to use public transport. A park-and-ride service will operate from the multi-storey car park at Rotherham Interchange, 8.30am-4.30pm
