Yellow warning of ice issued for Sheffield as snow falls in north of England
The Met Office warned that ice, formed yesterday evening and overnight, would lead to difficult driving conditions this morning.
Motorists were urged to be aware of "difficult driving conditions" on untreated roads and for residents to take caution of slippery coniditons on pavements.

Hide AdTemperatures were expected to fall below zero across some parts of Yorkshire & Humber with showers potentially falling as rain, sleet and hail.
Snow has also been reported in parts of northern England this morning, including in Manchester.
However, no snow is forceast for Sheffield today but rain is expected to fall around 6pm.
