Youngsters get the lion's share of the holiday fun at library event

IN the library, the quiet library, the lion ROARS tonight!

These young bookworms went wild at Sprotbrough Library - with the blessing of staff who helped them transform into fearsome lions by creating and then wearing their own wild animal masks.

Staff at the library provided paper plates and crayons to help them get creative.

One member of staff said: “The masks were fantastic.”

It was one of a number of events at the library over the summer holidays. They continue on Monday when children’s book author Lynne Chapman will meet children and show them how she illustrates her books.

She will be speaking to four to seven years olds, 11am-12.30pm.
