Barnsley trio lead the way

South Yorkshire Under-13s are celebrating after beating Yorkshire II by four wickets in a challenge match at Abbeydale Park.

They hit top form to dismiss the county side for 129 with Barnsley duo Ben Haywood and Tom Goldsby-West claiming 3- 26 and 2-28 respectively.

Doncaster’s James Dobson was also in fine form taking 2-14 to help put his side in a winning position.

And the they did not disappoint with Barnsley’s Matt Foster leading the way with a knock of 46 as South Yorkshire passed their target for the loss of six wickets.

Jordan Bethel (Sheffield) hit 26 runs in South Yorkshire’s reply of 131-6.
