Benita on the Run in city

FORMER world cross country champion Benita Johnson will head the challenge for the women's title at the BUPA Great Yorkshire Run on Sunday, September 9.

The 28-year-old Australian star is the first high-profile female name announced for the inaugural 10 kilometres mass participation event in Sheffield.

Johnson, one of the world’s most consistent distance runners, joins legendary Kenyan Paul Tergat in the elite field for the meeting.
