Eden Grovein fine form

EDEN Grove hit local rivals Brodsworth Main for six their Doncaster and Sheffield Cricket Alliance League Division One clash.

Batting first after winning the toss, Main made 154 all out. Opener Dave Smith, who hit four fours, and No 3 Chris Bolton, who also hit four fours in his 33, were the two mainstays of the Main innings.

Syed Abbas (5-45) and Ray Kundra (3-41) were the pick of the Eden Grove attack.

No 3 Kamran Ajmal, whose top-score 61 featured ten fours, and No 4 Tim Buckle (32 not out), steered Grove to a seven-wicket win the 39th over.

Misson lost by four wickets against Hollinsend Meths.

Misson won the toss and elected to bat, making 169-9 in their allocated overs.

Openers Alistair Challoner (15) and Steve Milner (46) gave Misson a solid start. No 3 Ian Horseman chipped in with a knock of 27 with No 6 Andrew Bichan adding 22. Tim Wickham took five of the wickets to fall at a cost of 38 runs.

Meths made 175-6 in reply - John Dale taking 2-37.
