Green for go in must-win Dons clash

UTILITY back Wayne Green will start his first game since returning to the 13-side code after a spell playing rugby union with Thornensians, in Doncaster's must-win National League One game against Rochdale at the Keepmoat Stadium on Sunday.

Head coach John Stankevitch, who had been waiting until Saturday's training session to finalise his side, broke with recent tradition when naming his team after last night's training session.

Said the young Doncaster coach: "We have picked the team early because we basically want to make our intentions known and throw down the gauntlet to Rochdale.

"Whatever team Rochdale put out I am confident that the team I have picked will go out and give a good performance and hopefully pick up a win."
