Wolves' Barnsley-born manager Mick McCarthy has revealed his spat with striker Jay Bothroyd "is over".

Bothroyd appeared to make a two-fingered gesture in McCarthy's direction after scoring in the Molineux defeat by Reading on Saturday.

The 25-year-old was immediately substituted, and McCarthy said: "I do not care where we are in the league, how many points we have got or what my circumstances are, I will not accept that from anyone - but it is over now."
