CHESTERFIELD completed the non-contract signing of former Sheffield United defender Georges Santos, 37, after taking Stoke City's highly-rated Republic of Ireland Under 21 International striker Adam Rooney on loan.
"This arrangement with Georges is of mutual benefit as he was looking for a footballing opportunity and we need some more defensive cover, especially in the short-term whilst Aaron Downes is on International duty with Australia Under 23's," said Spireites’ boss Lee Richardson.
