United have opened talks with John Lundstram, John Egan, Enda Stevens and John Fleck, with the Blades having an option to extend Lundstram's current deal - which is due to expire this summer - by another year.

And Wilder, who revealed that talks are 'ongoing' between the club and the agents of those players, said that Chris Bashan and Ollie Norwood would be the next to be invited to the negotiating table.

"We're in negotiations with those boys and further down the line we have other boys we will speak to," Wilder said.

"Basham and Norwood and a couple of others. I have no fear of losing those players through them wanting to go and play for another club. I'm 100 per cent certain of that."

Contract talks were postponed throughout January as Wilder and his team looked to tie up their transfer window targets, including £22m Sander Berge.

"We're looking to reward and then move onto the next batch of players," Wilder added.

"We want them in our group going forward. It's important to have that stability. It'd be a big number to replace those four, so we want to keep them and add better players to the group. And I'm certain we will do that in the summer window."
