He has a squad with a clean bill of health from Saturday's 2-2 draw but will not bring skipper Chris Morgan back into the fray until Saturday's trip to Watford in the Championship.

The Blades boss could be handing out second chances to the centre-back pairing of Chris Lucketti and Matt Kilgallon, the pairing he put together in the heart of the back four in Morgan's absence against Colchester.

He was openly critical of Kilgallon especially for Colchester's last gasp equaliser when he let striker Clive Platt find space in the area.

"As a manager those goals make you angry but we've sat down together and watched it again," he explained. "You sort of felt it was coming.

After seven games we'd conceded only one goal and when the real stuff happens we let in two.

"There are no excuses for any lack of concentration. We should be able to keep that at a level even without Chris Morgan."

Robson hinted that Michael Tonge, a sub and scorer on Saturday, had won his way back to the starting 11.

"He more or less created our first goal with his pass out and then he took his goal well. He did play well, he did what I've asked of him and that's play at the top of his game."

Tonight's tie will go to extra time and penalties if necessary and Robson warned of the threat last season's Carling Cup giant-killers Chesterfield bring.

"We've had them watched, they're not bad," Robson added."They're a big strong side. They've experience up front in Jack Lester and Wayne Allison. They've scored goals throughout the lower leagues.

"But is really is more about what we do in the game."

United reserves lost 2-1 at Dinnington Town last night.

United will not be rushed into putting forward their legal case for compensation in the Carlos Tevez affair.

Chairman Kevin McCabe revealed the club were exploring two possible avenues after losing their fight to be reinstated to the Premier League.

"With evidence that we have, that we believe is of value, there are probably two courses open to us," he said. "Obviously both of those courses are open to financial compensation, rather than what we hoped for."
