Upfront claim by Robson on best Blades

SHEFFIELD United's formidable attacking arsenal could be the envy of the Championship according to manager Bryan Robson.

Speaking after watching James Beattie's first-half goal against West Bromwich Albion secure United's first league victory of the season Robson, whose team travel to MK Dons in the Carling Cup tomorrow, predicted the firepower at his disposal is capable of blazing a trail to promotion.

United spent over 5 million strengthening their forward line during the summer with record signing Beattie and Billy Sharp joining Jon Stead, Danny Webber, Luton Shelton and Geoff Horsfield.

Rob Hulse, the club's top scorer in the Premier League last term, is also making progress in his battle to overcome the double fracture of the leg he sustained earlier this year prompting Robson to insist: "It's really pleasing to have so many top quality goalscorers here and I want to keep them all.

"When I signed James from Everton I said he could score 20 to 25 goals in this division and he led the line really well out there.

"There's competition for places there which is really good to see, that's exactly what I want," he said.
