Sharp's future has been the subject of some debate in the window, with clubs including Leeds, Derby County and Celtic amongst those keeping close tabs on his availability.
Blades boss Chris Wilder has repeatedly admitted that Sharp's future is in his own hands, whilst the player is thought to be confident he can still make an impact with his hometown club in the Premier League.

Hide AdSharp scored United's first goal back in the top flight on the opening day of the season at Bourmenouth, and impressed from the start against Manchester City last Tuesday.
But his future was again discussed on Match of the Day at the weekend, after he set up both of United's goals in their 2-0 win at Millwall on Saturday.
Match of the Day presenter Gabby Logan mistakenly said on-air that Sharp has "been told he can go in this January transfer window" before pundit Danny Murphy added that the striker would be a perfect January signing for his old club Leeds, as they look to follow United into the Premier League.
"He could be the difference in getting a club up from the Championship," Murphy said.
"He wouldn’t have to move house, which is important for players, and he was there many years ago.
“Go and get him Leeds. Give him a call.”
