According to Greek media reports, United are set to battle the likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers and Crystal Palace to land Olimpiacos defender Pape Abou Cisse, who scored in their win against Arsenal in the Europa League round-of-32 second leg clash at the Emirates Stadium.

It is suggested that the 24-year-old, who has been capped on three occasions for the Senegal senior side, is likely to command a fee in the region of €20 million - a hefty profit on the €700k they paid French second tier side Ajaccio for him three years ago.

Meanwhile, a separate report from Greece credits the Blades with interest in Olimpiacos vice-captain Omar Elabdellaoui. The Norweigan right-back began his career in the Manchester City youth academy, and spent half a season on loan with Hull City in 2017.

This isn't the first time United have been linked with a player from the Super League giants - last January, the Blades were rumoured to have had a bid turned down for their star midfielder Mady Camara, and are said to have extensively scouted the Guinea international.

In other news, the Premier League, EFL, PFA and LMA are set for further meetings over the next 24 hours, as they look to establish a consensus on issues such as player wages and the resumption of the 2019/20 campaign, amid the coronavirus pandemic lockdown.
