With competition for the end-of-season awards nowhere near as fierce as in recent seasons, it was no surprise to see David McGoldrick and Aaron Ramsdale walk away with the main gongs for their performances in 2020/21.

This season was very different to last. In the Blades’ first back in the top flight, and indeed for most of the seasons that Chris Wilder was in charge, the starting XI didn’t change an awful lot.
Last year it felt as though you could have handed out the same teamsheet every week, with the backline in particular barely changing from match to match.

We went back to crunch the numbers and find out who scored highest on average in a season that most Blades will want to forget. Players must have had a minimum of nine ratings to qualify.
