Why Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder says transfer window intensity will ramp up as he takes a leaf out of Watford manager Nigel Pearson's playbook
United are thought to have prioritised defensive reinforcements in the current window after an impressive start to life back in the Premier League.
Luke Woolfenden, of Ipswich Town, has emerged as a target for the Blades, although Ipswich boss Paul Lambert scoffed at the reported £3m fee suggested in some media outlets.

"I've said I was going to adopt a Geoffrey Boycott stance and straight-bat everything," Wilder said.
"Then I kept quiet through all the transfer questions. Then I said I would only talk about players when they were in the building, holding up a shirt and a scarf and taking those awful photos with the manager.
"I study other managers quite a lot and saw Nigel Pearson say 'I will talk about business being done when business is done'. I quite like that, so I'll use that this week!
"We're making headway. It's picked up, and a lot of things have picked up in the football world recently in terms of the transfer window.
"I'm sure it'll ramp up again in the next few weeks."
