The day is nearly upon us, Wednesdayites. This weekend, the talking stops and the Blue and White Wizards are back in action, hoping to kick off a League One promotion push.
A trip to promotion hopefuls Charlton Athletic is first up. Darren Moore has brought in half a squad of new players and has a whole load of decisions to make in a number of positions.
Could either Florian Kamberi or Theo Corbeanu make their debuts? Who will start at centre-half in the battle between Dominic Iorfa, Sam Hutchinson and Chey Dunkley? And that’s before we even get started on the five-way battle in midfield. Up front? It’s anyone’s guess.
One half of our Owls writing team Alex Miller has picked the team he’d go for down at The Valley. What would you go for?

Started his Wednesday career brightly against Huddersfield and had fans purring over the potential of a Wing/Bannan partnership in midfield. Offers legs and technical ability, should he have come through the week unscathed, he's surely another shoo-in. Photo: Steve Ellis
Taken off on his debut as a precaution for a hamstring / glute issue. All being well there, you'd expect Shodipo to get the chance to continue his bright form in preseason. Picks up the ball and runs at players in a way Wednesday haven't really seen too much in recent seasons. There's an argument for fellow new face Theo Corbeanu to be thrown straight in - and maybe the option of a forthcoming signing, too.. Photo: Steve Ellis
The big man. Florian Kamberi is another possible option - and let's face it, none of us have seen enough of him to have an opinion yet - but Paterson's physicality and work rate could be important in both boxes against the Addicks. He belted about against Huddersfield and was unlucky not to have more chances fall to him. Photo: Steve Ellis
Ah go on, chuck him in. Based on absolutely nothing other than some exciting reports from his parent club Wolves, I've lobbed the youngster in ahead of Andre Green, who may well be just a *little* disappointed with how he went at Hillsborough on Sunday. Darren Moore told us earlier in the week it may be a case of easing Corbeanu in, it might be worth dusting that bit of x-factor off early. Photo: JASON CAIRNDUFF
