Darren Moore among favourites for EFL job following Sheffield Wednesday exit
and live on Freeview channel 276
Moore enjoyed a two-and-a-half-year spell at Hillsborough that culminated with victory at Wembley over Barnsley, but then left his post shortly afterwards prior to the appointment of Xisco as his successor at Middlewood Road.
The 49-year-old told The Star recently that he was on the lookout for his next adventure, and according to BetVictor he’s in with a shout of picking up the job at the Valley as a possible replacement for Dean Holden after he left the club over the weekend.

Hide AdThe Addicks have lost five games in a row following their opening day victory over Leyton Oreient, and the late defeat to Oxford United on Saturday proved to be the straw that broke the camel’s back for the club bosses who ultimately lost his job the following day.
Former Oxford boss, Karl Robinson, and Lee Johnson – who just left Hibernian – are the current front-runners at 5-1, while Moore sits with Danny Cowley and current interim boss, Jason Pearce, at 6-1 for the vacant position in south-east London.
Charlton have said that a ‘thorough recruitment process’ is now underway for the club as they look for somebody to lead them forward, though it remains to be seen whether Moore would fancy another spell down in League One or if he’d be aiming a bit higher following last season’s success at Hillsborough.
