Moore, who has been doing an impressive job with Rovers since joining them back in 2019, was linked with the Owls job not long after Tony Pulis’ exit a couple of months ago.
While back then he distanced himself from the position, his name has cropped up once again amid talk that he may be seen as a potential replacement to take the reins away from Neil Thompson.

Hide AdDejphon Chansiri has been quiet on the managerial situation since revealing after Pulis’ exit that he was hoping to appoint somebody as soon as possible, but while a number of links have been made over the last couple of months, the responsibilities have remained with ‘Thommo’.
There has now been some chatter that Moore, 46, could potentially be back in the running for the position, with the former West Bromwich Albion man seen as an exciting young manager who might be able to save Wednesday’s season, and The Star understands that has had talks with the Owls about taking over.
SWFC still have 14 games left to try and secure their Championship status following the disappointing collapse against Luton Town over the weekend, but Moore’s experience in both the Premier League and League One would certainly place him in a good position in terms of what he’s done in his career so far.
It remains to be seen at this stage what timeline Chansiri is working to, but it’d be no surprise to see him look to appoint a manager after their recent.
