The Owls are currently on the lookout for a new manager following the decision to part ways with Garry Monk and his staff earlier this week, with the likes of Tony Pulis, Ryan Lowe, Sol Campbell and Phil Neville all having been mentioned as potential candidates – although several reports have now stated that Pulis is close to taking on the position.
Chansiri’s timing means that he does have some time to make a choice on Monk’s successor given that Wednesday’s next game will only come on November 21st, but The Star understands that they are eager to make sure that – whoever it is – is in place by the time they face Preston North End.

Meanwhile, the Owls chairman will be working hard this week to make sure that he finds the best candidate, though he wouldn’t be drawn into speculating whether he’s made a decision yet or not.
Speaking to Jim White on talkSPORT, the SWFC chairman said, “I want to do the best thing for the club, it’s an amazing club… We need time to think about it.
“I think (we need to hire somebody) as soon as possible. Actually there are many managers who have sent offers, so we need to look at it and see who is the best.

Sky Sports news have reported that Pulis is due to secondary talks with Wednesday as Chansiri considers him an option, while John Percy at the Telegraph has stated that a short-term deal could be done before the weekend.
Wednesday face Preston away from home on November 21st and will be looking to try and climb out of the relegation zone with a positive result.
