Wednesday chief Garry Monk will have to make one enforced change as Fernando Forestieri is ruled out with a knee injury suffered in Saturday’s away triumph at Charlton Athletic. Jacob Murphy is in line to replace Forestieri following his lively cameo off the bench in the capital.

Julian Börner is available for selection after servince a one-match suspension but the popular German defender may have to settle for a place on the bench.

Brentford could field an unchanged side after trouncing Luton Town 7-0 last weekend.

Referee: Deam Whitestone

The Northamptonshire-based whistler has overseen 13 matches this season, dishing out 38 bookings but no red cards. Whitestone will be assisted by James Mainwaring and Nik Barnard. Martin Coy has been selected as the fourth official.

History lesson:

When the two teams last met back in February, the Owls cruised to a 2-0 win after a double either side of half-time from Steven Fletcher.

Wednesday have a good recent record against the Bees, winning five of the last 10 meetings.

But there is nothing to separate the clubs in the overall head-to-head record, with 14 victories apiece from the 40 previous clashes in all competitions.

One to watch: Ollie Watkins

The 23-year-old, who kicked off his career at Exeter City, has plundered 12 goals in 19 starts this season. Watkins was initially deployed in midfield or on the wing but has been converted into a striker by Bees boss Thomas Frank. Sheffield United are believed to be keeping close tabs on Watkins, with the January transfer window fast approaching.
