and live on Freeview channel 276
There were plenty of crossed fingers as the final whistle approached, but in the end Jordan Rhodes’ double was enough for the Owls to hand Darren Moore his first win since arriving at Hillsborough.
It came away at Barnsley’s Oakwell, and was a surprise result against one of the most in-form sides in the Championship. A major relief.
Our Ratings
Wildsmith – 7

Hide AdTidy enough from the shot-stopper, called in late to replace an injured Westwood. Looked more assured in the second half than in the first, and dealt with what was thrown at him.
Palmer – 7
A solid performance as right wingback from Palmer. Played a big role in the second goal, and was pretty comfortable in his defensive duties.
Lees – 7
Struggled a little bit against Dike in the first half, but grew into the game and looked a lot more steady in the second 45. Lots of shouts from the defender to keep his teammates focused.
Börner – 7
Like Lees, spent most of the game on a yellow card, which makes their performance all the more impressive. A tidy showing, won plenty and looked assured on the ball.
Urhoghide – 8

Hide AdAnother game where the youngster showed maturity beyond his years in a three-man defence. Intelligence, strength, pace and composure when needed, a good honest performance – even when he ended up in the advertising boards.
Pelupessy – 7
He’s a man that splits opinion, and while he wasn’t faultless today, he did his job well enough and played an important role in the win.
Bannan – 8
Much better from Bannan after a tough few weeks. Got a brilliant assist for Rhodes’ opener, and was busy, vocal and very involved throughout the game. One of his best showings in a while.
Reach – 7
Worked tirelessly down the left, and while there were some loose touches and elements where he could’ve done better, he definitely looks more comfortable in a wide position.
Windass – 8

Hide AdFull of running, caused plenty of problems for the Barnsley attack, and was brilliantly unselfish for the second goal. Didn’t stop running, and will be pleased with his showing.
Paterson – 7
Another player who played an important role in the result, even if it wasn’t a decisive one. Excellent work ethic against a tough team.
Rhodes – 9
His two goals will be remembered, but his performance was much more than that today. His first goal was superbly powered home, and his second was put on a plate.
Green – N/A
A late sub on for Windass.
