The Chelsea loanee has enjoyed an impressive start to life at Hillsborough since completing a season-long switch before the season got underway, however he was forced to sit out the 1-1 draw with Queens Park Rangers after sustaining an injury.

Garry Monk revealed after that draw that Brown, who had to come off during the 2-0 defeat to Bristol City, had picked up a bit of a knee problem, however did admit that it was ‘more of a dead leg’ than anything to be too concerned about.

With the Owls the midst of a bit of an injury crisis following a string of issues with Dominic Iorfa, Liam Shaw, Tom Lees and Liam Palmer to name a few, Brown has given some hope that he’ll should be back available by the time they make the trip to Birmingham City in a couple of weeks.

Responding to a fan who asked about his knock, Brown replied, “After international, should be good to go!”

Wednesday have already shaved five points off their 12-point deduction that was handed out prior to the start of the season, and will be aiming to knock three more off when they travel to Monk’s former employers on October 17th.

Meanwhile, with Palmer, it remains to be seen if he will take part in Scotland’s internationals against Israel and Slovakia after being withdrawn from Saturday’s QPR draw with a sore back, though there’s been no word yet as to whether he’s fit enough or not.
