A win! A win for Wednesday at Hillsborough! A clean sheet! Three points!
Pretty? Absolutely not, but Sheffield Wednesday will tuck into their turkey three points better off after Tom Lees’ header was enough to steal all three points from Coventry.
Will it be a turning point? It remains to be seen. Let’s hope so and take a look at the player ratings from a hard-fought win.
1. Keiren Westwood - 8
From the first 10 minutes Westwood set his stall out with a confident collection and made a string of good saves. A very encouraging return to action. Photo: Dave Howarth - CameraSport
2. Tom Lees - 8
A really strong, competent performance in defence, perhaps let down a touch in possession, that was capped with the winner. Photo: Stu Forster
3. Chey Dunkley - 7
A couple of hairy moments were overlooked in a solid performance. Lead the defence well alongside Lees. Photo: Steve Ellis
4. Liam Palmer - 6
Seemed way off the pace first half but improved greatly in the second. Made an excellent clearance off the line to deny MacFadzean. Photo: Matthew Ashton - AMA
