'Really happy with this deal!' - Sheffield Wednesday fans react to Callum Paterson signing from Cardiff City
and live on Freeview channel 276
The versatile 25-year-old, who began his career as a right wing-back but has more recently played as a target man for the Bluebirds, was a fan favourite at Cardiff and key member of the side that won promotion to the Premier League in 2018.
Paterson can also play in midfield but is expected to be used primarily up top by Owls boss Garry Monk.

@owlzmadboothy What a steel for £500k
@dezmo89 Really good signing this
@ChrisEason84 Excellent news! Hope he starts banging goals in left and right! #WAWAW #SWFC #WTID
@DavePoskitt Buzzing, well done @swfc
@ploehmann Paterson is very much a Monk player, yes. Not the worst of finishers either (0.34 goals per 90 in the Championship). I still think there are question marks over his ability on the ball and in the pass but depending on the finances involved he should definitely strengthen us
@OneSwfc Considering the position we were in at the start of the window, we’ve built a decent attacking unit for very little money. Excellent work

Hide Ad@AnalyticsOwls Can't argue with money being spent sensibly like this! Be interesting to see if across the season he is used as a utility man or if he's only played as a forward.
@RocketOwl1986 Really happy with this deal! Hope Callum goes straight into the line up! Best of luck!!
@dan_N_smith Good or bad, we like a Scottish striker at The Wednesday, don't we? #swfc
