It was reported late last year that former Wednesday midfielder, Massimo Luongo, had started training with the Tractor Boys with a view to making a return to League One, and now both The Mirror and East Anglian Daily Times have stated that he’s going to joining the club.

On top of that, The Mirror have also added that another ex-Owl, George Hirst, could be joining them on loan for the remainder of the season from Leicester City, while Nathan Broadhead could leave Everton for Suffolk for around £1m as they look to bolster their strike force.

Suggestions have also been made that a third former Wednesday player, Theo Corbeanu, is on their radar as well after being recalled by Wolverhampton Wanderers from his loan at Blackpool.
