The Owls came away from the LNER Stadium with a point more than they did last season after drawing 1-1, but missed a host of chances in both halves that would have been enough to pick up a couple more.

Moore knows they need to be sharper in front of goal, referring to their performance on the day as ‘wasterful’.

“It’s two points dropped, there’s no doubt about that,” he said. “We came here to win the game and we should have won the game.

“We’ve had the perfect start and then created so many chances but you have to take them and we didn’t.

Lincoln only had one chance really and they scored from it while we were wasteful and that’s the story of the game.

“I’ve seen the stats, we’ve had 16 shots and we have to be better in front of goal.”

Wednesday have a chance to get back to winning ways in midweek when they play host to Bristol Rovers, and they’ll be eager to pick up another three points at home as they return to the Hillsborough turf after a couple of League One games on the road.
