Maradona, whose almost unrivalled list of achievements include inspiring his country to a World Cup win in 1986, is a name that often comes out top in debates over who is the greatest footballer of all-time.
Sheffield Wednesday boss Tony Pulis paid tribute to Maradona, explaining why he believes he will be remembered as a greater player even than his countryman and modern successor Lionel Messi.

“Maradona won a league title for Napoli by himself. I don’t think anybody else in the world could go to that football club and could have driven them on to win a title.
“Maradona won a World Cup with Argentina, and no disrespect to Messi, Messi has had the opportunity and the chance to win a World Cup, and a couple of the teams Messi has played in were better than the teams Maradona played in.
“He was one of the greatest players I’ve ever seen. He had loads of problems and issues away from football, which happens unfortunately, to some of the great, great players.
