That’s the message of Sheffield Wednesday Football Club to its supporters as the country’s handling of the coronavirus crisis approaches its first anniversary.
It’s been nearly a year since Wednesday fans were able to shuffle through the gates of Hillsborough but the club have worked hard to support a fanbase missing their matchday rituals with a number of hands-on initiatives.

Moving forward, Wednesday have stepped up their media offering in order to encourage social media engagement and The Star understands there are further initiatives in the pipeline designed to bring players closer to the club’s support, including Twitter takeovers by players during which supporters will be able to ask questions.
Both as a club and individually, a number of Wednesday figures have worked hard to provide support away from the public spotlight, sending private video messages and answering emails to those in need on a regular basis.
It’s an effort that shows no sign of slowing. This week the club have reiterated their support, going as far as to carry out the day to day chores of supporters incapacitated by the constraints of lockdown.
