Wednesday will face Rovers as part of their preseason preparation for the 2023/24 campaign, with Xisco Munoz’s side making the short trip to Doncaster on July 25th.

It will be their penultimate friendly of the summer before they return to the Championship, with a home tie against Luton Town on July 29th being their final game before their opener against Southampton.

On Monday it was confirmed that Wednesdayites have been allocated 3,314 tickets for the game, tickets that will go on general sale on Thursday morning, and it will no doubt be sold out by the time the game goes ahead in a couple of weeks’ time.

Meanwhile, tickets for Wednesday’s game against Real Murcia and CD Eldense remain on sale in Spain, with over 900 still available for the former and more than 1,200 on sale for the latter.

Those games are set for July 18th and 21st, kicking off at 7pm and 10am respectively (UK time), though at this point in time the second clash at the Pinatar Arena is yet to be officially confirmed by the Owls – you can buy tickets here.

Wednesday have sold out their allocation for the game against Chesterfield on Tuesday night – which is also serving as a testimonial for Drew Talbot – with over 7,300 set to attend the encounter at the Technique Stadium.

Munoz’s first game ended as a 1-1 draw at the weekend after they were pegged back by York City.
