The trio were all missing from the Owls squad in the 1-1 draw with York City on Saturday as they recover from issues sustained last season, with Palmer having gone for minor surgery in Germany during the summer break.

Munoz wouldn’t give any details regarding the absentees when speaking to the media after the game, however he did say that they’re ‘getting better’ as they look to try and get themselves back available as soon as possible.

The Wednesday boss said, "The positive thing is they are improving and getting better every day in the short time they have come back from the team… The negative thing is that, right now, we can’t use the, and they are important players in our team."

But would Tuesday night’s game against Chesterfield come too soon? It sounds like there may be a chance of a return to action, though Munoz insisted that he won’t be taking chances if they’re not ready to take that next step just yet.

"We will see,” he replied. “It depends on their evolution… We could maybe take the risk in the Championship if it was in two to three days but, right now, I think we need to manage the situation better and try to make sure they are in good condition so they don’t take a step back."

Wednesday face the Spireites at 7pm on Tuesday night for Drew Talbot’s testimonial game at the Technique Stadium.
