Dunkley, who has already become a popular figure at the club, was the captain of the losing side this week after Tony Pulis decided to put his players through a host of training ground games for the warm-up, and he and his teammates therefore had a forfeit to complete.
The defender, as well as Moses Odujabo, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Liam Shaw were all kitted out behind the counter as they served their teammates Christmas dinner on Wednesday, and Pulis says they got a ‘lot of stick’.

Hide AdSpeaking to The Star today, the manager said, “We had little competitions during the week - head tennis, dribbling competitions and other little exercises during the warm-up.
“The lads that lost had to serve the others with Christmas dinner, and those lads were behind the counter with their hats on serving the rest of the players - and taking a helluva lot of stick doing it!”
The likes of Liam Palmer and Barry Bannan posted videos of the quartet on their social media pages this week, laughing at their teammates as they waited for their Christmas grub.
Pulis has been full of praise for this group of Wednesday players, speaking highly of their attitude and commitment to the cause – now he’ll be hoping that it can reflect on the field against Blackburn Rovers as they seek to win back to back games in the Championship for the first time since last December.
