Why Keiren Westwood and Chey Dunkley are missing for Sheffield Wednesday
The duo have been key performers for the Owls in their recent unbeaten run of three games, but neither made the matchday squad as the Owls go up against Wayne Rooney’s side in their first game of 2021.
In a tweet prior to kick off, Thompson said, “With Westwood and Dunkley, it's just a case of the games catching up with them. We've made a couple of tweaks, we know what to expect from Derby and hopefully we can build on the performance we put in against Middlesbrough.”

Wednesday are next in action on January 9th when they go up against Exeter City in their first FA Cup game of the season.
