A whole host of midfielders remain available ahead of the new season.

The Championship season kicks off again at the end of this month with clubs up and down the country currently busy at work bolstering their squads.

Norwich City, Burnley and Watford are back in the second tier after they all dropped out of the Premier League, whilst Sunderland, Wigan Athletic and Rotherham United have returned from League One to replace Derby County, Peterborough United and Barnsley.

Many players who saw their contracts expire at the end of June have founds new club but others continue their search.

Free agents can make transfers at any time which means there is no rush at this moment in time. However, you would imagine some will want deals sorted before the new campaign starts.
