Nick and Rosie set the wheels in motion

Nick and Rosie Rowe aim to complete a 'Reels on Wheels Buddy Bus' road trip around the UK by the end of this year.

Their idea is to promote angling for everyone - regardless of disability - talk to different community groups and visit disabled-friendly fishing venues.

They will be able to provide information on improvements to fisheries struggling with budgets to provide access for all and festivals like South Cerney.

They also want to attract sponsors who believe in the Buddy System, to create a base where families, teens, adults, able and less able/disabled people can fish safely and be offered tuition.

They hope to create as many Reels on Wheels funded fisheries as they can throughout the UK, which will be as disabled- and family-friendly as possible, using local expertise and employment where possible.

*On August 17, the Buddy Bus will be at Aston Ponds with Ian Cloke (Disherman's View - Anglers Today), Alex Mitchell and possibly a few of the Barnsley Blacks and the following day at Barlow Lakes, meeting up with The Star's First Cast angling correspondent Kevin Miles.
