Tickhill see off Thorpe Marsh to win

Thorpe Marsh's four winners – Paul Bassindale (21-9), Jim Ashe (21-6), Colin Strutt (21-6) and Pete Strutt (21-9) – all did well, but Tickhill still won the match thanks to Paul Morgan (21-9) and Jeff Shipley (21-7).

Alan Fawley junior (21-9) and John Burton (21-8) starred for Carcroft in their 187-168 win over Bawtry A.

Derek Harvey (21-7) and Jim Wynne (21-9) performed well for Elmfield Park, but Ken Marshall (21-1) and Sid Price (21-6) earned Denaby a 163-153 Section B success.

Ron Perry's 21-7 win was enough to secure Adwick B a 172-165 Secton C win despite Lynne Rogers's 21-9 result for Westfield Park B.

June Booth (21-6) started well for Armthorpe C before Betty Reed (21-8) and John Humphrey (21-6) helped give Eden Grove-Pegler B claim a narrow 172-167 win.

Craig Rumney and Carl Rice won 21-5 for Pilks Rec in their Doubles League Division One win over Rossington.

Hilary Bennett and Brian Barrass (21-6) shone for league leaders Yorkshire Main in their 81-62 Division Two victory over Thorpe Marsh Bentley.

Mick Jones and Keith Haydon (21-8) and Louise and Enoch Walker (21-4) did well for Brodsworth in their 78-43 win over Parklands.

Charlie Wootton and Marie Reilly (21-5) were the only winners for Pilks Rec B as Glen Jacques and Mick Poppleton (21-9) led Eden Grove-Pegler to a 68-52 victory.

Eric Wright and Roger Elston (21-9) just failed to earn Thorpe Marsh Bentley a draw in their 68-67 defeat at home to Unison.

Adwick lost 84-61 at Yorkshire Main.

Woodlands Park pipped Thorne Colliery 77-76 to claim the spoils in their Division Three clash.

Phil Stones and Ryan Lysons (21-6) and John Burton and Ken Welford (21-9) were in good form for Carcroft in their 75-57 win over visiting Elmfield Park.

Last pair Sylvia Spryut and Barry Ardron won 21-9 for Wickersley in their 78-69 victory at Thorne Colliery.

Moira Robb and John Marshall (21-8) were the match-winners for Tickhill B in their narrow 74-71 Division One victory at Rossington B.

Junior bowler Thomas Shillito made a winning debut for Pilks Rec C, partnering Dave Wootton to a 21-13 win in their 82-65 victory over Hexthorpe B.
