Tigers face 'must win' Brum clash

SHEFFIELD Tigers skipper Andre Compton has labelled tonight's home Premier League showdown with Birmingham as a 'must win' meeting (7.45pm.)

Compton and his team have revived their flagging fortunes with two stunning away wins in the last week and a win, plus the aggregate bonus point, would put them well and truly in the frame.

It would also put them in good heart going to Edinburgh tomorrow, a graveyard for Sheffield teams down the years.

Said Compton: "This is one we simply cannot afford to lose.

"Our home record has been good so far this season and we need to keep that going, I see no reason why we can't win with races to spare.

"But we need to be firing on all cylinders and the mood in the camp is excellent after our wins at Somerset and Mildenhall over the weekend. We have made a lot of the other clubs sit up and take notice considering we were written off by many experts only a week or so ago."

It will be a bumper night of entertainment at Owlerton with soccer skills sensation 'Mr Woo' doing a demonstration during the interval - and the Elite League Riders' Champion-ship, which was originally scheduled to be at Owlerton, will also be shown live on screens throughout the stadium.

Children aged 12 and under will again be admitted free .
