Tigers peg admission prices for stead benefit meeting

SHEFFIELD Tigers have pegged admission prices for Garry Stead's benefit meeting at Owlerton on Thursday week, August 23 (7.15pm).

That means the event, which is capturing the imagination of fans throughout the country, will cost 12 to adults, 9 OAPs, 5 children aged 12-16... and all children under 12 free.

All money raised will go to the stricken Tigers asset, who is paralysed from the waist down after a crash at Somerset in May.

Tigers owner Neil Machin said: "We are indebted to Cyril Chell from Easy Rider Motor Cycles who has taken on the main sponsorship and allowed this to happen. Everyone is working on a voluntary basis but there are some hard costs and Cyril has covered this."

A special souvenir programme, full-colour, has been produced and will be available for 4.

Tigers co-promoter David Hoggart said: "The quality is excellent with only one advertisement, editorial from Garry and superb photography it will rank as one of the best ever.

"Elvis Jones has designed the cover and we have already been offered 1,000 for the original artwork which is signed by the 2007 British Grand Prix Riders. I'm sure the programme will become a collectors item."

Donations may be sent payable to, "Garry Stead Benefit Fund" c/o Yorkshire Bank, 14 High Street, Alfreton, DE55 7BB or paid in at any Yorkshire Bank branch quoting the above detail.
