Arsonists start fire in sub-station

ARSONISTS forced their way into an electrical substation in South Yorkshire and used a car tyre and rubbish to start a blaze.

The fire was started just after midnight on Bank Holiday Monday after youths broke through metal fencing surrounding the brick-built substation and forced a door into the 33,000 volt facility.

They set fire to a car tyre and piles of rubbish inside the sub-station.
