Young Voices 2020 Sheffield: dates, tickets, songs and dance moves for the school choir concert at FlyDSA Arena
Approximately 30,000 children from 716 schools across the Yorkshire region will participate in a series of choir concerts which kick off this week.
Here’s everything you need to know about this year’s events.
When do the concerts take place?

Hide AdThe first of six Young Voices concerts kicks off at 7pm on Tuesday night (January 7).
The remaining performances take place from January 8 to 10, and January 13 and 14.
Attendees can enter the arena from 6pm, while the concert itself is expected to finish at around 9pm.

Tickets for all six performances can still be purchased from the official FlyDSA Arena website.

All tickets for the event cost £26.03.
Who will perform alongside the children?
Participating children will be accompanied by former Spandau Ballet frontman Tony Hadley. Speaking about his involvement with the tour, Hadley said: “it was genuinely one of the best things I have ever done in my life.”
Hadley will be joined by duo The Shires and former The Voice UK contestant Ruti.
What songs will the children perform?
Children will perform songs from across the musical spectrum, from Ode to Joy, to hits from American rock outfit REM.

Hide AdKids will also perform rock classic by Queen, including Somebody to Love.
The evening performance will conclude with a medley of poppy favourites.
Children will sing the following songs on the night of their performance:

- Disney Duo
- Ode to Joy
- Kusimama Full
- Frightfest
- Larger than Life
- Shiny Happy People
- Queen Medley
- I Couldn’t Do this Without You
- 1000 Hallelujahs
- Somebody to Love
- Pop Medley
Lyrics and accompanying dance moves were allocated to all participating schools – children wishing to access them should contact their teacher.

The FlyDSA Arena is accessible via tram, bus and train.
