Bike safety for holiday kids
A QUICK cure for schoolchildren's ear-piercing screams of boredom can be found in a free Bike Safety course in Sheffield next week. The programme at Firth Park Community Arts College on Flitcroft Avenue is available to all eight to 14-year-olds and will run on Tuesday and Wednesday from 11am to 3pm each day. VOTERS in Chesterfield are being given the chance to get their names on the electoral register via the internet or by touch tone phone. A Chesterfield Council spokesman said: “This new system should make it easier and more convenient for people to register, and it is cheaper for the council to operate.”
Fun day rides
PONY rides, a teddy bear clinic, and a raffle for Sheffield Children’s Hospital will take place at the Langsett Fun Day next Wednesday. The event will be held on the playing fields behind Walkley School on Burnaby Green from 11am-3pm.
