Crashed car lands on wall

AN OFF-DUTY doctor and district nurse came to the rescue of a motorist who lost control of his car which ended up on top of a stone wall, teetering on the edge of steep drop.

The man, who was driving a black Audi, was travelling along Hathersage Road, towards Dore, when he lost control on a sweeping bend.

He was in collision with a Toyota travelling on the opposite side of the road, spun out of control and smashed into the stone wall. The front of his car ended up on the grass verge with the back of the car teetering on top of a stone wall above a 30ft drop into scrubland.
