Dangerous sex offenders go on the run

TWO dangerous South Yorkshire sex offenders released from prison have gone on the run together after absconding from their approved addresses.

Police and probation service officials are desperate to track down 58-year-old William Bailey and 27-year-old Joseph Taylor who are deemed as posing a “high risk” to children.

The pair, both convicted sex offenders, were last seen together at Sheffield railway station on Monday at around 8.15pm.

Bailey should have been staying at an address in Rotherham while Taylor had an address in York.

South Yorkshire Police, and both North and South Yorkshire probation services, want to know the whereabouts of the men who they say pose “a high risk to the public, especially children”.

Bailey is 5ft 5ins, slim, with short whitish-grey hair, and a pale complexion.

Taylor is described as 5ft 5ins to 5ft 8ins with short, straight dark hair, Hispanic in appearance and quietly spoken.

The two men are known to have links with North Yorkshire
